Tropical Thunder is an extremely acclaimed award winning Vietnamese movie directed by Nguyen Phu. The film follows the life of a young woman from the Mekong Delta (currently the Thuy Tu Temple) who witnesses the murder of her loved ones and also befriends a local gangster. As the film progresses, the viewer is introduced into a number of different characters whom the viewer comes to understand through the course of the movie. Throughout the course of the movie, the two eventually become friends and Max falls in love with Chun Li. This love leads them to martial arts camp where they master various skills such as the art of taekwondo. One of the greatest scenes in the movie involves them practicing a complex set of motions that has been filmed by an American street hustler namedicks whose own pair of taekwondo methods is revealed through the film.

So yes, the original Tiger! The movie is a cult classic. It features one of their most recognizable faces in the Kung Fu genre and is a true story about how martial arts will help people. In case you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. I know someone who'd forgotten about the Kung Fu film until lately making. . .what I consider to be the perfect Kung Fu film. . .totally SPEAKY.
